What's New in Goldtresor v1.9.0: Storage Deposits and Margin-Taxed Silver Coin Tubes

On 21 July 2025, Goldtresor gains new features: depositing your own gold products into storage and purchasing margin-taxed silver coins in tube packaging become available simultaneously. Both developments help you manage your gold or silver portfolio with even greater flexibility.

1. Depositing your own gold products

From now on, you can manage not only gold purchased through us in Goldtresor, but also deposit gold bars, coins or wafers from other sources. Bring the product to our Budapest office, where it will be assessed and then added to your digital vault. After that, you can sell it online, convert it to a gold account balance, or exchange it for cash — just as with your previous purchases.

2. Margin-taxed silver coin tubes

Margin-taxed silver coins are now available in tube packaging. This means you do not pay the standard 27% VAT — only a significantly lower VAT calculated on the margin — making silver investment available at a considerably more favourable price.

Tube packaging (e.g. 20-piece Vienna Philharmonic, 25-piece Kangaroo) prioritises physical possession. Please note that margin-taxed silver coins, while fully verified and in excellent condition, originate from buybacks and are therefore of mixed years, with the possibility of very minor patina.
